“Vote For Your Future” Surveys
This is a reminder to Staff Reps to send all completed “Vote For Your Future” surveys to the Unit Office via the internal pony. To date we have only received the surveys from 12 schools. Our Political Action Committee needs to review the surveys in order to plan next steps in our election readiness campaign.
Provincial Discussion Table PD Funds
Though applications have been coming in steadily, there are still plenty of funds available to teachers for the 2010-2011 school year for professional development. Over the course of this school year and the next, permanent teachers with the Board can apply for a one-time $300 fund to help off-set the costs of professional development resources or courses. (This amount is pro-rated for part-time teachers) To date, the majority of applications received have been for technology such as laptops, or for AQ courses. Your principal has the application and expense forms available for your use, along with the details of the application process.
