Charitable Income Tax Receipt Forms are available in your schools. Teachers spend a significant amount of money each year on materials for their students and classrooms. The Board has provided charitable income tax receipts to allow teachers to claim these expenses on their income tax, providing the amount purchased in the calendar year is $100 or more, and receipts are attached to the form.

Professional Development Day

Just a reminder for all elementary teachers, 50% of this professional development day is teacher directed as defined in the collective agreement. This time is part of your preparation time and as such you can determine how this time will be used in a professional capacity.

Seniority List:

You should have received an updated seniority list in your school. Take a few minutes to review the list to ensure there are no errors. If there is an error contact human resources at the board office.

Contract Deadlines:

QECO – if you have applied for a re-evaluation ensure you inform the school board before December 31, 2003 to receive retroactive pay to September 1, 2003.

Deferred Salary Leave – if you are interested in or considering applying for a deferred salary leave you must make that application to the school board before January 31st.
